In-Person UTI Testing & Treatment in Philadelphia
Urinary tract infections are one of the most common reasons adults visit urgent care — and one of the most uncomfortable to wait out. If you have burning with urination, constant urgency, or cloudy or strong-smelling urine, you do not need to wait days for a primary care appointment or sit in an emergency room for hours.
At Vital Urgent Care in Philadelphia, we diagnose UTIs on-site with in-house urine testing and can start treatment during the same visit. Walk in Monday through Friday between 8 AM and 6 PM — no appointment needed — and get answers and relief the same day you arrive.
UTIs are more common in women, but men and children get them too. Left untreated, a simple bladder infection can spread to the kidneys, so prompt testing matters. Our providers evaluate your symptoms, run the appropriate urine tests, and prescribe treatment when a UTI is confirmed.
UTI Symptoms We Evaluate
Come in for UTI testing if you are experiencing:
- Burning or pain when you urinate
- A frequent, urgent need to pee — even right after going
- Cloudy, dark, or strong-smelling urine
- Pelvic or lower abdominal pressure and discomfort
- Blood in the urine
- Low-grade fever or feeling generally unwell
- Symptoms that keep coming back after treatment elsewhere
How Your In-Person UTI Visit Works
- Check in. Walk in or check in online. Bring a photo ID and your insurance card if you have one.
- Give a urine sample. Our team collects a sample for on-site urinalysis — quick and private.
- See the provider. A licensed provider reviews your results, examines you, and discusses your symptoms and history.
- Get your treatment plan. If a UTI is confirmed, we prescribe treatment — usually antibiotics — and explain exactly how to take them. If it is not a UTI, we help figure out what is going on.

Prefer a Video Visit Instead?
For uncomplicated, recurrent UTIs, many patients prefer the convenience of telehealth. Our online UTI treatment in PA lets you see a licensed provider by secure video from anywhere in Pennsylvania — evaluation and prescriptions when appropriate, for a $125 self-pay video visit. If your symptoms are severe, you have a fever, or you are pregnant, we recommend coming in person.
Go to the nearest emergency room — or call 911 — for high fever with back or flank pain, vomiting, inability to urinate, confusion, or signs of a kidney infection. Urgent care is for non-life-threatening conditions.
Frequently Asked Questions
How much does in-person UTI testing cost?
The UTI test is $60 self-pay, plus a $125 office visit. Most major insurance plans are also accepted. See our self-pay pricing page for details.
Do I need an appointment for UTI treatment?
No. Walk in Monday through Friday, 8 AM to 6 PM, or check in online ahead of time to save time at the clinic.
How is a UTI diagnosed?
Your provider will review your symptoms and run a urinalysis on a urine sample collected during your visit. In some cases a urine culture is sent to an outside lab — outside lab work is billed separately by the lab.
Will I be prescribed antibiotics?
If your test confirms a bacterial UTI, your provider will prescribe the appropriate antibiotic and explain how to take it. Treatment is always based on your test results and medical history.
What is the difference between in-person and online UTI treatment?
In-person visits include on-site urine testing and a physical exam — best for first-time, severe, or complicated symptoms. Online UTI treatment by video is a convenient option for straightforward, recurrent UTIs.
What if my symptoms turn out not to be a UTI?
Your provider will evaluate other possible causes — such as vaginal infections, kidney stones, or STDs — and recommend next steps, which may include additional testing available at our clinic.
